The first domino of the off-season has toppled over. The Indiana Pacers have reached an agreement with their star forward Pascal Siakam, to the tune of a four-year, $189.5 million deal.

According to Woj, it is a straight four year deal with no option. While it is a max deal in terms of dollar amount, it is one year shorter than the maximum the Pacers were allowed to offer.

This deal should surprise no one. Rick Carlisle, Tyrese Halliburton, and Chad Buchanan have all spoken openly about the importance of bringing Siakam back after acquiring him mid-season.

"The reality is, we've only had Pascal for half of a season. He's been such a big part of the team but he hasn't had a full training camp with us. He hasn't really settled into Indy yet. I think that's part of our thinking," Buchanan said during his end of season presser.

The ”unsettled“ version of Siakam was pretty good. Can’t wait to root for him now that he can get comfortable.
