"The path to paradise begins in hell." - Dante Alighieri

Lose again, 63 now

Operations cease, season ends

Two is the number, luck will tell

Time must past, before the balls collapse

Everyone holds their breath, desperate for reason

Results may vary, Silver may pay

You will see, you may weep

We will win again, Ty will assure

Indomitable in will, skill unperturbed

No one will be safe, the moment will stand again

The season is over and so is the tournament. Everyone did fairly well, despite the difficult circumstances, finishing with at least 40 correct predictions on the year. I am pleased with how the new additions to the tournament performed, the quarterly segments will return, the questions may not, we'll see.

As it did last year, the tournament went down to the wire. Northeast, again, led throughout the year and at the end his only competition was Kahonu. The two of them predicted the exact same amount of games correctly, (51). As such it came down to the extra points, one earning (21) and the other grabbing (18).

The final tally looks like this:

  1. 72 points (51 correct/21 extra)
  2. 69 points (51/18)
  3. 60 points (48/12)
  4. 59 points (48/11)
  5. 57 points (44/13)
  6. 57 points (46/11)
  7. 54 points (43/11)
  8. 53 points (40/13)
  9. 51 points (42/9)
  10. 51 points (42/9)

Sports curses are well-documented; the Madden Cover Curse, the SI Cover Curse, the Billy Goat Curse, and the Curse of the Great Bambino to name a few. Always lurking in the shadows to drive fans, players, and organizations into the depths of despair.

But not this time

Congratulations to NortheastNightmare, you are the WINNER of the 2nd annual Twoahh Prediction Tournament.

You now may stand next to Dwaink, enshrined in the Hall of Champions of top predictors ever* and isn't that the real prize? No? You want a jersey? Well... fine. You get a jersey. Hilliard will contact you about the details.

Thanks to everyone for participating. Even though the season has just ended, I am already eager to see Ty and this team playing meaningful games together again. I hope they win 60+ games and that championship dream finally blooms. May only good things happen to this team and you all as well.
