Is it too soon to play the Thunder? I wouldn't have thought so but typing out the title of the post definitely caused my blood pressure to rise. All I ask is that this game ends injury-free.
The same can't be said for the first game of the Pacers' Summer League circuit, which saw Johnny Furphy leave the game and not return. Luckily, his absence was simply a precautionary measure.
Just as art imitates life, the fake season further imitated the real season, when the Pacers came back from a seemingly impossible deficit to steal the win from the Cavs.

It was a good showing from the Two-Way players from last year's Pacers team. Freeman, Dennis, and Jackson all looked like players whose NBA future extends beyond the sands of Las Vegas.

The other big news is that the Pacers have re-signed center Isaiah Jackson.
There are no team or player options in Isaiah Jackson’s new three-year, #21 million deal with the #Pacers, league sources tell @TheAthleticNBA.@TonyREast first on details. https://t.co/PVLzCfbo7B

The signing uses the last roster open roster spot so the team has its 15 players for the regular season (for the time being at least). The final tally for the off-season: the Pacers replaced Myles Turner, Thomas Bryant, and James Johnson with Jay Huff, Isaiah Jackson, and Kam Jones.
