Team USA are one win away from reaching the final and facing host country France. Forgive me if the dynamics of the Olympics are giving me a bit of whiplash. Having just completed his rookie season, Victor Wembanyama is already waiting at the end like a final boss in a video game. To get to him, the Americans must beat *checks notes* Nikola Jokic, arguably the best basketball player in the world. Wemby, you're destroying the narrative, you're not supposed to be this good this soon.

Although I guess the most honest framing is that we, the people of America, are the final bosses. Team USA has steamrolled through the competition thus far and the train doesn't appear to be slowing down. Serbia are a tough squad but they were no match for the Americans in the exhibition game last month and I see no reason to believe anything has changed.

See you soon, Vic.

Enrique Freeman

Enrique Freeman has been signed to the remaining Two-Way spot, sending Oscar Tshiebwe looking for new opportunities.

Tshiebwe is a beast on the boards but ultimately doesn't impact the game enough in other areas to crack an NBA rotation. He's a great story and seems like a wonderful locker room addition, but the NBA is a ruthless business.

Kudos to Freeman for working his tail off, going from a college walk-on to now having an NBA contract. Can't wait to see how he develops.
