Tyrese Haliburton and Team USA got another win in their last outing against South Sudan by a score of 103-86. Haliburton even got off the bench long enough for his picture to be taken on the court (see above).
He had a modest stat line, scoring six points and tallying only one assist. However, he hit two threes almost immediately upon entering and his only miss came on a heat check from well beyond the arc. Team USA looks dominant regardless of who is on the court so I don't expect Kerr to deviate much from his preferred rotations. Still, something tells me Haliburton has a role to play in the quest for Gold.
Speaking of a role to play, maybe we should be doing Team Canada game threads instead because Andrew Nembhard is a big contributor for the star studded Canadians.
The praise for the Pacers' 3rd year guard has been pouring in on Twitter. I even saw him compared to the man Haliburton is currently stuck behind, Derrick White. There's something poetic about that considering how he usurped Mathurin and Hield in the lineup.
Not bad, eh?
