Welp. The Pacers officially went winless in the NBA Cup this year. It's gotten to the point that it's hard to imagine them beating any team other than two or three bottom feeders in their current form.
Why listen to me when Tyrese Haliburton pretty succinctly stated what needs to happen to get back to winning.
Apparently there was a terse conversation at half-time of last night's game and the team did seem to respond. They closed the gap and made it a game in the fourth quarter, even if they ultimately did not have what it takes to leave Canada with a W.
On the bright side, Haliburton's shot is returning to normal and he's put together a string of solid statistical performances.
As a result of being bounced from Cup play, the team will now play the 76ers and Pelicans during time slots reserved for the Knockout Round.
Brooklyn Nets
The Nets, same as the Pacers, are 9-13 on the year. Not only that, both teams are on three game losing streaks.
The numbers say that very little defense will be played tonight. Tired legs or not, if the Pacers can't score efficiently tonight, it will be a particularly rough outing.
