The Pacers haven't lost back-to-back games in a million years. Tyrese always responds after a bad game. The electricity around Indianapolis for its first Finals game in 25 years is so palpable, you're risking your life by standing in a puddle of water.

For as ugly as Game 2 was, there are a lot of reasons to think the Pacers could be ahead in the series by the end of the night.

Still, Game 2 was very ugly. After their heartbreaking Game 1 loss, the Thunder stormed back with authority on Sunday, dominating the Pacers 123-107 to even the series.

Shai Gilgeous‑Alexander picked up where he left off, dropping 34 points and 8 assists, contributing to a historic 72 points across the first two Finals games, surpassing Allen Iverson’s mark. A thunderous (see what I did there) 19-2 second-quarter run, capped a decisive 23-point halftime lead that crushed Indiana’s hopes.

Indiana's depth seemed like a weakness for the first time this playoffs, as the Tunder bench exploded, including a 20 point outing from Alex Caruso and a backbreaking 18 from Aaron Wiggins.

Meanwhile, the Pacers' engines sputtered. Tyrese Haliburton managed just 17 points (most of it while the game was already out of hand), and no Indiana player reached 20.

It was a stark turnaround from Game 1. We went from nail-biter to blowout. Let's hope we see another 180, this time with the Pacers in control.
