The Pacers announced the roster for the upcoming Summer League tournament.

Consistent with last year, the second year players will be with the team in Vegas. Also like last year, I wouldn't expect Mathurin or Nembhard to play more than a game. The team likes to use the opportunity to start building chemistry.

Interestingly, Isaiah Jackson is playing this year but Duarte is not. Read into that what you will, but it could easily be explained by roster construction. With the Pacers selecting three guards in the draft and choosing to bring Mathurin and Nembhard along, I'm not sure there was much room for Duarte. Of course, that issue could rear its head on the main roster as well.

While the main attraction will be getting a first look at Walker and Sheppard, the most dramatic storyline has to be the battle for the remaining Two-Way spots. The prevailing thought is that Kendall Brown and Isaiah Wong will be awarded the final two contracts and Mojave King will play in the NBL next year.

However, I'm sure King will be trying his best to convince the team to keep him close. In fact, everyone outside of Mathurin, Nembhard, Jackson, Walker, Sheppard, and Tshiebwe will be looking to make an impression.

The Pacers kick off their first game on July 8th. In other words, in little over a week we'll have actual basketball to discuss... or something resembling it at least.
