Despite losing to the Dallas Wings last night, Caitlin Clark and the Fever made plenty of headlines. Clark broke the WNBA single game assist record with 19 dimes to complement her 24 points and six rebounds. Her distribution helped her fellow Fever phenom, Aliyah Boston, achieve a career high 28 points.

The single-game assist record was just one of the many Caitlin has been breaking. Allow me to turn this post into a twitter thread compiling just a few of the rookie's unbelievable accomplishments.

The Fever have had an up and down season when it comes to wins and losses (not an unexpected result for a team that picked 1st over all two years in a row). Nevertheless, they've been playing great basketball over the last month and, with 10 games left in the regular season, are poised to make the playoffs.

Clark and Boston seem destined for greatness and I have a sneaking suspicion that Indy fans could have another fun playoff run right around the corner.

Summer League

The Pacers got their first win of the Summer against the Suns last game. This evening, they're back in action against the Nuggets.

Walker had an incredibly efficient offensive game against the Suns, scoring 19 points on seven shots, including 4-5 from deep. He started the game at two-guard, the latest test in his transformation into a bonafide Swiss Army knife. He's officially played 1-5 now and though this definitely feels more like a Summer League thing than an NBA season thing, I'm glad the team is forcing him into (and Walker is willing to accept) a variety of roles in the name of development.

Johnny Furphy once again wasn't shy about letting the ball fly. He launched 17 shots, including 11 from deep. Fatigue is clearly a factor for the joey but he's still showing the activity and quick trigger that will eventually make him an easy plug and play in the Pacers system.
