The Indiana Pacers hold a commanding 3-1 lead over the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference Finals. A victory tonight would send the Pacers to their first NBA Finals since 2000. No matter how probable that result seems, they still have to take care of business and close out a tough Knicks team who will be desperate to win in front of their home crowd.
In Game 4, the Pacers secured a 130-121 win in Indianapolis. Tyrese Haliburton delivered a historic performance, recording 32 points, 15 assists, and 12 rebounds without committing a single turnover, becoming the first player in NBA playoff history to achieve such a stat line. Pascal Siakam added 30 points, while Bennedict Mathurin contributed 20 points off the bench (on only 8 shots from the floor).
The Knicks were led by Jalen Brunson's 31 points and 11 assists. Karl-Anthony Towns posted 24 points and 12 rebounds, and OG Anunoby chipped in with 22 points. However, New York's 17 turnovers proved costly, leading to a 20-9 disadvantage in points off turnovers.
The Knicks must address their turnover issues and defensive lapses to extend the series. Meanwhile, the Pacers must simply stay the course, as they have been excellent away from home, boasting a 6-1 road record in the playoffs.
