The stakes couldn’t be higher tonight in Indianapolis, as the Indiana Pacers look to push the New York Knicks to the brink of elimination in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals. The Pacers now lead the series 2-1 after a bruising Game 3 loss on Sunday, where the Knicks made it very clear: they’re not done yet.

Facing a potential 3-0 deficit, the Knicks came into Gainbridge Fieldhouse with desperation and it showed. Behind inspired play by Karl-Anthony Towns, who finished with 24 points and 15 rebounds, New York overcame a 20-point deficit to make the series competitive.

For Indiana, the pace dropped off in the second half and so did the offense. The team seemed to playing 4-D chess in trying to cherrypick matchups instead of just passing and moving and finding shots within the rhythm of the game.

The momentum has shifted back in New York's favor, but a win tonight will spin that right around (like a record baby). Rick Carlisle's veteran coaching has been a boon thus far in the playoffs, as the Pacers have responded to tough offensive outings with the necessary adjustments. The team will need to continue that trend if they don't want to face a real gut-check moment back in Madison Square Garden for Game 5.

Injuries

Aaron Nesmith injured his ankle on Sunday but has been cleared to play tonight.
