The Indiana Pacers are on the brink of success tonight as they face the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Leading the series 3-1, the Pacers have a golden opportunity to clinch their second trip to the Eastern Conference Finals in as many years.

Game 4 Recap: Pacers Dominate with Historic First Half

In Game 4, the Pacers delivered a commanding performance, defeating the Cavaliers 129-109. Indiana tied an NBA playoff record by building a 41-point halftime lead, showcasing their offensive prowess and defensive intensity. Pascal Siakam led the team with 21 points, while Myles Turner and Obi Toppin each contributed 20 points. The Pacers' balanced attack and relentless pressure overwhelmed the Cavaliers, who struggled to find their rhythm throughout the game.

Game 5 Preview

Cleveland faces the daunting task of overcoming a 3-1 series deficit. You'd think Donovan Mitchell, who has been a standout performer throughout the series, would need to lead the charge. However, his availability is in question after he did not play in the second half of Game 4 due to a sprained ankle.

This series has been a battle of adjustments. The Cavaliers' 3-2 zone was as effective in Game 3 as it was ineffective in Game 4. They must come up with ways to counter the Pacers' offensive schemes and regain their own offensive efficiency from the regular season, or else they'll be headed to Cancun imminently.

Closing out the series in Cleveland will be a tall task for the Pacers. The Cavs have one of the best home-court advantages in the league and I'd be surprised to see a 64-win team roll over in that environment, regardless of what happened last game. We all know the Pacers play better as underdogs, so hopefully the Cavaliers being 7.5 point betting favorites will serves a bulletin board material in the Indy locker room.

Injuries

Donovan Mitchell is a game-time decision but he participated in shoot around and all signs point to everyone suiting up.
