The schedule for the Mad Ants' upcoming purgatory season in Indianapolis was released today. Having cut ties with the city of Fort Wayne, the Pacers G-League affiliate will be known as the Indiana Mad Ants and play its home games at Gainbridge Fieldhouse for a year before adopting a new name and a permanent home in Noblesville the following season.

As a result of sharing facilities with its big brother organization, the team will get to do something fairly cool this year: play double headers with the Pacers.

All home evening games will begin at 6 p.m. During the course of the season, the Mad Ants will play six "double headers" with the Indiana Pacers. The Mad Ants will play those games on November 22, January 10, January 23, February 6, February 22 and March 18 with 12:30 afternoon start times. The Indiana Pacers will then play those evenings at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

It'll be interesting to see what kind of ticket promotions they offer for the double headers. Either way, watching hoops and hitting up Bicentennial Unity Plaza between games seems like a perfectly fine way to kill a grey winter day.
