It's hard to believe that this team went to the Finals within the calendar year. But as the year comes to an end, the Pacers woes persist.
Simply put, they are playing atrocious basketball at the moment. They've lost four straight, including to bottom dwellers like Washington and New Orleans.
Tonight they brave the frigid, Massachusetts cold to take on the Celtics. Unlike the temperature, Boston is red hot offensively, even without its superstar Jason Tatum.

The Pacers need a Holiday miracle. Hopefully it's a Hallmark channel kind of night.
Injuries
T.J. is out tonight but Furphy is available. The big news is we might get to see the first glimpse of Kam Jones in a Pacers uniform tonight.
Pacers guard T.J. McConnell ruled out tonight in Boston — left knee soreness. Johnny Furphy is available, but tweaked his left ankle during the last game. So it’s something to watch.

Because of those, Kam Jones and Taelon Peter left the G League Showcase early to get to Boston.
For the Celtics, Jaylen Brown is playing and Jordan Walsh is out.
