In their last game out, the Pacers showed up and put an end to their losing streak. It was a balanced effort for the Blue & Gold, who finished with nine players in double figures.

Myles Turner led the way in scoring but, oddly, he scored all of his points in the first half. Regardless, the team effort was enough to hold off the Mavericks and a fourth consecutive 30-point triple double from Luka Doncic.

From the jump, the Pacers played with more energy than they did against New Orleans or San Antonio. According to Rick Carlisle, the change was a result of some tactical tweaks as well as water finding its level.

We were due to play better... Last couple games have been tough, but the team made some very good adjustments for this game, and we were able to play faster and more aggressively and move the ball better.

One of the tactical adjustments was bringing Obi Toppin and Ben Sheppard as the first two players off the bench.  Carlisle explained the move by saying, "Obi and Ben are our two best runners. They're our two best runners and ball movers, and that's why they went in the game first. We needed speed. We needed guys getting to the corners and then making the right reads and movement from there. Both those guys did a great job."

Moreover, the new rotation allowed Pascal Siakam to get two rests per half. Though Siakam struggled to start the came, he came alive as it went on and finished with 13 points, 13 rebounds, and six assists.

The Pacers will face a tough test tonight against Minnesota, who possess the league's best defense. The T-Wolves are 4-3 over the past two weeks but are riding a four-game road win streak into Gainbridge Fieldhouse. In their last game, Rudy Gobert posted a whopping 25 points, 16 rebounds and three blocks in Minnesota's 119-114 win over the Trail Blazers.

He'll have more opportunities to eat tonight, as his front court partner Karl-Anthony Towns has been ruled out with a knee injury.
