The Pacers made us proud last game and ran the Nets out of Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Now we need them to do the same thing at Barclays.
If you ask Rick Carlisle, you shouldn't expect the Nets to roll over again. He thinks they will be holding a grudge. "We've got a real challenge on Wednesday, with the way [last game] went. We'll have to be ready. [Brooklyn] will be ready. There were some emotions flying around and that kind of stuff. It'll be a very good test."
So far in the two matchups with the Nets, the Pacers have been able to execute their game plan to a T. They have scored 254 points while shooting 49.5 percent. On Monday, the team was led by Tyrese Haliburton's 27 points and 13 assists and was able to amass 75 points in the first half.
As they cling to the 6th seed in the East, the Pacers can't afford to let up tonight. Joel Embiid has returned for the Sixers and immediately helped them get a win against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Meanwhile, the Heat held serve as well last night, beating the New York Knicks. The matchup with the Heat this Sunday is looming large, with the victor having the inside track on avoiding the play-in.
Injuries
Despite a somewhat gruesome dislocation of his index finger on his shooting hand, Myles Turner is listed as questionable for tonight. Personally, I expect him to take a night off considering there are more important games coming up.
