The Pacers righted the ship last night in an emphatic win against a shorthanded Hornets team. It was a game in which everyone had a few highlights, including Jalen Smith who only played during the first half of the game and Isaiah Jackson, who only played in the second. Smith, for his part, was lights out, looking like he never left the court.

However, there is no rest for the weary, as the team is back in action tonight in Memphis to take on the Grizzlies. The Griz have a recently returned player of their own who looks like he never left. Ja Morant wasted no time in reminding the league of his superstar status, floating for a game winner in his first outing since his suspension.

The Grizzlies are never an easy team to play but I'd guess they're going to be especially amped up for the Pacers tonight. 1) Last year in Memphis, someone from Morant's entourage allegedly pointed a laser sight at members of the Pacers' traveling party. It was one in a series of self-inflicted wounds that landed Morant in hot water. 2) Certain members of the media are trying hard to fabricate a Haliburton/Morant beef. To his credit, Morant doesn't seem to be taking the bait.
