The Pacers must be getting tired of home cooking by now. After All-Star kept them in Indy, they're closing out a two week home stand tonight against the Mavericks.
The Pacers come into the matchup on a two game win streak after beating the Pistons. Haliburton carried the good vibes from his second straight All-Star appearance into the game, finishing with 25 points and 13 assists. While the 13 assists are impressive, they are only slightly above average for Haliburton, who leads the league with nearly 12 per outing.
Speaking of wins streaks, the Pacers opponent tonight is on quite a heater. The Mavericks have won seven in a row – the longest active streak in the Western Conference. Luka Doncic has been his brilliant self and the team is clicking around him. The deadline additions of PJ Washington and Daniel Gafford have given Dallas much needed athleticism in the front court and more finishers for Doncic to set up.
Both teams are battling to stay out of the play-in game after missing the playoffs last year. Tonight should be a battle of virtuoso playmakers, hopefully the one on the home team gets the better of the exchange.
Injuries
The only player listed out is Aaron Nesmith, who continues to rehab his ankle sprain.
