A picture says a thousand words. The one below, with its bright green tankathon formatting, communicates everything you need to know about the season for the Pacers.

I said it in the comments last night but what really shocks me about this year is that we are not even getting fluke wins. You'd think with Pascal Siakam, Nembhard, Mathurin, McConnell, etc., we'd see a few games where they put together a complete performance. Instead, it's been a lesson in the fickle nature of NBA chemistry.
Tonight, the Pacers are down in South Beach to take on the Heat. Both teams are on a back-to-back, with the Heat traveling in from Atlanta where they drubbed the Hawks. Their win put them one game over .500 at 16-15. After a strong November, they've really struggled this month, going 3-8.
As you would expect from an Erik Spoelstra team, the Heat get after it defensively and generate a lot of turnovers without fouling (or at least being called for it).

The Pacers will have to take care of the ball tonight and try to capitalize on Miami's aggressiveness.
Injuries
Luckily, Tyler Herro is out for the Heat while Bam Adebayo is day-to-day. For the Pacers, Jackson is still out.
