Tonight we get to see a couple of our guys again. Bennedict Mathurin and Isaiah Jackson take the floor at the Intuit Dome wearing Clippers blue, and honestly? I'm excited to watch them succeed (for more reasons than one).
Mathurin gave us four solid years and some incredible moments. No matter how you felt about his score first mentality, he was always a warrior and I'm rooting for him going forward. Now he's averaging 18.8 points and 6.1 rebounds with the Clippers, hitting the ground running off their bench.
As we start a west-coast road trip, it's tempting to think about how many games we can lose. Tonight's matchup against a 29-31 Clippers team fighting for the playoffs seems like a perfect opportunity for the tank.
Darius Garland made his debut for the Clippers last game out, so hopefully, we'll get to watch high-level basketball, cheer for our former players, give our young guys valuable reps, and wake up tomorrow one step closer to a top-3 pick.
Injuries
Pascal Siakam, Aaron Nesmith, and Andrew Nembhard are all available tonight, Rick Carlisle says.
