Woo! We won a game! I almost forgot what this felt like. It was great to see the team show they can still close one out, even if they used all 48 minutes to get it done.

Siakam out dueled Paolo Banchero, scoring 37 points in 34 minutes and sealed the game with a block in the final seconds.

Andrew Nembhard also showed up in a big way, contributing 13 points, 14 assists, and 7 rebounds. On top of that, he hit one of his patented, step-back threes that he likes to pull out in big moments.

This season has been rough but one thing I appreciate is that the team appears to be as close as ever. It gives me hope that once the tank is over, they'll be able to find their winning spirit again.

Tonight we face the surging Lakers, who are 9-1 over their last 10 games. Luka Doncic is playing at the height of his ability, even getting after it on defense, which will be a real problem for the Pacers. I expect they'll send a wave of defenders at him, but this is the kind of matchup you wish Jarace Walker would take pride in handling.

Other than Luka, the Pacers will have their hands full with Austin Reeves, who is a killer in his own right, and the Lakers' not-too-shabby third option, LeBron James.

Injuries

Nembhard, Nesmith, Siakam, and Toppin are all probable.

DeAndre Ayton is questionable. Rui Hachimura and Marcus Smart are out.
