The Indiana Pacers (47-31) are set to host the Washington Wizards (17-61) tonight at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, aiming to extend their four-game winning streak and solidify their playoff positioning.

In their last outing, the Pacers secured a 125-120 road win against the Denver Nuggets. Despite a formidable performance from Denver's Nikola Jokić, who tallied 41 points, 15 rebounds, and 13 assists, Indiana found a way to secure a rare win at altitude. Myles Turner led the Pacers with 24 points, while Obi Toppin contributed 22 points in his second start of the season. Andrew Nembhard added 19 points and six assists, showcasing the team's depth and resilience in the absence of Pascal Siakam, who was sidelined with a right elbow injury.

With the regular season nearing its conclusion, the Pacers currently hold the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference. They maintain a three-game lead over the fifth-seeded Milwaukee Bucks (44-34). A victory tonight and a Bucks loss would cement home-court advantage in the first round for the Pacers.

The Wizards have faced a challenging season and are lottery bound. Despite their record, the Pacers have to resist the temptation to Pacer, and maintain focus and intensity. Unsurprisingly, that's the message from Carlisle, too.

Injuries

Pascal Siakam and Benn Mathurin are both questionable tonight.

For the Wizards, it's a bloodbath:

  • Out: Saddiq Bey, Malcolm Brogdon, Bilal Coulibaly, Corey Kispert, Khris Middleton
  • Questionable: Anthony Gill, Tristan Vukcevic
  • Doubtful: Richaun Holmes
