In addition to turkey and pumpkin pie, the Pacers get to enjoy a weeklong home stand beginning tonight against the Detroit Pistons.
Detroit is on a TWELVE game win streak. What makes their run even more impressive is that they've been able to keep it going despite having key players miss time with injuries.
The secret to their success has been good offense and elite defense.

The Pacers, meanwhile, are so bad the team decided to air games for free.

I'm only kidding. Well, sorta. The Pacers are bad. In their last game against Cleveland we saw good individual performances from Nembhard, Mathurin, and Siakam, but the squad still doesn't look like it has any clue how to win a game against a decent team.
Simply put, we are terrible at putting the ball in the bucket. We have the worst effective field goal percentage in the league. The worst percentage at the rim. The worst percentage from the corners. And the worst three point percentage overall.

Somehow, someway, the team has to find an offensive rhythm. I'm clinging onto the hope that this level of futility is simply a matter of sample size. Water will find its level and shots will begin to fall for guys like Sheppard, Walker, and Huff.
The fans (I) sure would be thankful if the leveling out started tonight.
Injuries
No changes for the Pacers. The big news on the Pistons report is that South Bend native and former Boilermaker Jaden Ivey may make his return after missing almost a year with a fibula injury.
Additionally, Caris LeVert is probable. Marcus Sasser and Bobi Klintman are out.
