At the mid-point of the season, the Pacers are 10-32. Call me crazy, but there's a small part of me that's proud we're on pace to break 20 wins. It's an arbitrary and meaningless distinction, but this franchise is too good to have a season with a win total in the teens.
Don't get carried away with the pride thing, now. Because tonight, you can more or less expect a loss. The Pistons are the best team in the East and the Pacers are resting just about anyone who played major minutes on the team last year.
Injury Report for tonight's game against the Pistons:
— Indiana Pacers (@Pacers) January 17, 2026
Isaiah Jackson - Questionable (concussion)
Aaron Nesmith - Out (rest)
Pascal Siakam - Out (rest)
Andrew Nembhard - Out (lower back injury management)
T.J. McConnell - Out (left knee & elbow injury management)

Still, I often find myself enjoying these bench mob games because everyone has a long leash. We've seen great signs from guys like Sheppard, Walker, and Furphy of late, so hopefully they can keep their momentum rolling. It will also be nice to see Kam Jones get extended minutes.
Injuries (Detroit)
Cade Cunninham, Ausar Thompson, and B-Ball Paul Reed are all on the report but expected to play.
