As the Pacers totter down the road that is the '25-'26 season, they'll pitstop tonight in the land of parks and salt to take on the Utah Jazz.

In the early season, the team played its heart out, generally staying in games right until the end, though inevitably falling short. It seems we've moved out of that phase and into the "we ain't got it" portion of the season. The team is resting players liberally, tacitly admitting what we all know to be the case: we're just too damn injured.

But another thing all Hoosiers know is that the weather can change in an instant. As familiar names trickle into the lineup, we may just see a turning of the tide. For example, see Caitlin's note on the imminent return of TJ McConnell, who could do wonders for our anemic offense.

A little dribble penetration would be like water in a desert to a team that is struggling to create open looks.

While our offense has become iso-heavy, it's good to know we have at least one player who can score one-on-one with the best of them. Despite his back-breaking workload, Siakam continues to be one of the most reliable buckets in the league.

The Jazz

The other piece of good news is that we are playing the Jazz. Like the Pacers, they are 1-6 over the last two weeks and sit at 3-7 on the year. Though they looked poised for a breakout year early on, the loss the Walker Kessler took some wind out of their sails.

Robinson-Earl Contract

We're continuing the JRE experience as the team just signed him for another 10 days via the Hardship Exception. That means that a handful of names on the injury report will be out for another two weeks.
