The Pacers came up just short of spoiling Myles Turner's return to the Fieldhouse. Despite battling for 48 minutes with an overpowered Bucks team, the Pacers fell on a buzzer beater by the league's most sanctimonious superstar, Giannis Antetokoumpo.

Brutal end aside, there were plenty of positives to take away from the game. Chief among them was the play of Isaiah Jackson, who finally looked like the player we saw prior to his achilles tear early last year.

Jackson's emergence gave hope that the Pacers might be settling into lineups after weeks of turmoil. However, that dream was too good to be true, as we lost both Quenton Jackson and Johnny Furphy for an extended period of time.

The Pacers have used their hardship exception to bolster the beleaguered backcourt in the form of Cody Martin. Martin makes the second addition to guard ranks in the past week. Needless to say, things are getting desperate on Pennsylvania Street.

Well, desperation is relative isn't it? In some uplifting news, the Pacers Foundation made a sizable donation to combat hunger at a time when many are experiencing food insecurity. Always good to see the team take an active role in the community.

The Nets

The Nets are, somehow, worse than the Pacers. Despite having a mostly healthy roster, Brooklyn is the only winless team in the NBA. They are tanking and it's not particularly subtle.

I wouldn't expect high quality hoops tonight. Between Cam Thomas, Michael Porter Jr, the Nets will jack up a lot of terrible shots. However, I am excited to get a first look at Egor Demin and Ben Saraf, two jumbo playmakers from the most recent draft.

Injuries

Furphy and Jackson are out. Ray J Dennis is probable. Nobody who has been out is coming back tonight. It appears unlikely that Martin will play as the team has not officially announced his signing at the time of writing.
