The tide certainly seems to be turning. Yesterday, the Pacers made a big trade-deadline acquisition in Ivica Zubac. Today, they are only +1.5 on the road in Milwaukee. A spread that indicates it's anybody's game in a matchup between teams missing their best players to injuries.
The Bucks have had a rough start to the new year, losing 9 of their 15 games in 2026. Giannis went down with a calf injury on the 23rd but that fact masks the constant entropy the Bucks have been fighting since their title in '21.
To be honest, I'm a bit surprised that we aren't favored outright in this game, considering that the Bucks biggest scoring threats are guys like Ryan Rollins, Kevin Porter Jr, and AJ Green.
I assume, other than our general terribleness this year, that has to do with the state of our roster after the trade.
Rick Carlisle says that all four players in the Clippers trade have to pass physicals and be cleared. After that, the earliest Ivica Zubac and Kobe Brown would join the team is in New York. They play the Knicks next Tuesday.

Zubac might debut later because of an ankle issue.
Regarding said ankle issue, Carlisle says they'll be cautious with it once they know more. I'm sure that surprises absolutely no one given our desire to finish with a top-4 pick.
Injuries
Carlisle on Kam Jones; "He will play in this game. He's going to be one of the 11 guys we have active tonight."

For the Bucks, Kyle Kuzma, Gary Harris, and Giannis are out. Bobby Portis is in.
